Thunder

a violent night

By Zakari RungePublished 13 days ago 1 min read

light in the night

Closing my eyes for slumber.

I was slowly going under.

Then came the thunder...

Electricity was soaring off the charts.

The sky above was starting to part.

Unleashing the most deafening booms.

The universe had finally realized you were missing from the room.

A universal light show like no other,

Crying out for help because we knew you were going to be a mother.

I was going to have a brother.

There was no rest that night.
