Through Fire

I woke up today remembering and knowing one thing...

By Michael ButorovichPublished 5 months ago 1 min read

It’s hell out here baby,

But we already know that.

{

After waking up what strength

Does it take to walk on out

That door to search for a

Purgatory that will send us

To a room in heaven?

{

Everyone is burning beneath

One sun and freezing under

The silent moon.

But who is really in tune

With that perspective?

{

How many of us are truly

Comfortable in their decaying

Birthday suits hiding behind

Those linens?

{

These questions aren’t healthy

To be asking while treading

Through a common Death Valley.

So it’s best to keep steppin’

While leaving a trail of bread

Crumbs as food for thought.

{

Whoever picks ‘em up and eats

May find an answer.

{

I woke up today remembering

And knowing one thing before

Stepping out to find purgatory

And paradise.

It’s hell out here baby.

{

Have a good day in it
