When she disclosed the disaster reluctantly.
I. THERAPIST
he knows what to do to encourage you
to be a petty version of yourself.
he knows how to shut you out of his life at random.
he knows how to backhand compliment you.
he is jealous and creates situations in which he can criticize you and question your talents.
he finds ways to be busy during your brightest moments.
he plants doubt and deceives sporadically.
you don't know whether you're coming or going.
yet you declare you will give this lopsided love another try for the 29th time.
II. PASTOR
it's hard to say goodbye to comfortable darkness for the discomfort of freedom and joy.
it's challenging to accept compassion, because it's not delivered from who you want.
hurts to accept reality because you've lied to yourself repeatedly.
devastating to hear familiar words from a lover that you once spoke willingly over yourself…
III. SLEEP
Subconsciously simmering in a falling dream. Door locked tight. Infused in a fight with no end. REM unprotected. reset conscious investments. past curses conjured present reality. age 7 creating the intense hate that created him, a representation of how you measure yourself. You hold the power to create love and forgiveness. 7 year old you… needed to hear this.

We'z Walking on a Path Ruled By Numbers
This road has felt endless, yet limited; every step tracked. Inching away along this path, I feel trapped. Confined. Left to this narrow passage that may one day amount to something greater. Time is not a concept. Only distance. From start to finish, I laugh and cry and attempt to convince myself that this is worth it. I cannot stray. I must keep going. Every step etched, is a step taken, is measured as more than before. I cannot even recall how I got here. Maybe I don’t even really exist. Just another tick marking off a perceived presence. Of what though? I am just another line drawn. Nothing more, nothing less.
