Threads
Art is not simply individual pieces to be consumed, each piece is a thread in the same rich tapestry. The tapestry that we both come from, and are delicately woven into.
From time to time,
I get this pang of sadness,
Because I’ll never read all of the books,
Or listen to all of the songs.
I won't learn all of the languages,
Or watch all of the films,
I won't see every play,
There simply isn’t the time.
That’s when I remember,
That I am the universe around me,
We are interlocked,
Intrinsic parts of each other.
I remember that the beat,
Of every vibration runs through me,
In a vast and detailed,
Tapestry of this life,
In which I am but one thread,
Glinting in the sunlight.

Your poem was full of reassurance and very uplifting! I loved it!
Yes, one critical thread that if unraveled effects the whole. Great poem! 🥰
Beautiful phrases 💖😉📝
I feel that way too. The need to be , to do everything at once. But Thanks for tying it all together into being one with the universe. That is truly comforting. I feel more justified in being all knowing and all seeing.
