Thoughts are populating

In my mind deep inside

I keep on running at my pace

But I’m running out of time

All these things I have to do

I never get them done

Add one more thing to my list

I’ve only just begun

This mountain I’ve created

Is cracking right in half

Right before my eyes

I can’t believe I didn’t see

The earth that I have moved

Is moving out from under me

I pushed away the trees

I tore up all the grass

I planted all my seeds

I destroyed everything

Just to meet my needs

Everything I ever loved

Everything I ever dreamed

Was right here in front of me

All I wanted was to be free
