Those who live by the sword, die by the sword.

Precious jewel of the kingdom, purest piece of gold,

Where legends had spoke of, where myths had surely told,

The searching, the seeking, the endless blood and strife,

The betrayal, the treachery, the subtlety and the knife,

The armies waged for plunder, the lands were theirs to claim,

Volleys shot in number, the queens were sure to weep,

The fighting, the beating, the desire for the keep,

As beautiful as eden, the land was undefiled,

Like a virgin untouched, like a woman, the fairest child,

A young lass, a beauty without equal, with men seeking her in mass,

So wars waged ruthlessly as destruction came to pass,

Their prophets foretelling triumph, the seers made their visions known,

Of their lordships success, to sit upon the throne,

But alas, it was unending, the songs that struck a chord,

Battles waged, armies engaged, to live and die by the sword…
