Thorny question

Inside or out

By Angie the Archivist 📚🪶Published 5 months ago 1 min read
A vase full of my Dad’s roses

Rose

Red bloom

Fragrant scent

Blossom unfurls

As soft as velvet

Swaying on slender stem

Such exquisite grace and charm

Beware! Take care! Thorns lurk nearby

Warn, “Think twice, before you snip my stem!”

… ??? … Hide me away or share me with the world?

*

My Dad loved his roses and preferred them flourishing freely in the garden. My Mum enjoyed them arranged in vases throughout the house. Both are delightful.
