We are not this moment

We are not this time

Fleeting hours moments seconds of time

So far beyond just you and me

A world of souls all straining just to be

Fragile is Hope yet our world must see

Broken are captives which must be freed

Scales are weighted and justice is bound

Wounds untended casualties compound

Darkness breathes in the absence of light

Conviction to change requires more than might

Violence dispensed must be brought into the light

The war we are fighting goes beyond sight

Justice must be blind for those wrong or right

Time is our ally more precious than might

Simply because we see does not mean we have sight

The cost of conviction requires a seed

We plant with our time for those in need

Clarity of thought at blinding speed

We move towards change as we water that seed
