This kind of hallelujah

Job 1:20

By Natasha CollazoPublished a day ago • 1 min read

From within these walls,
in whatever asylum
I wander through, clothed as an idyllic landscape

Hallelujah.

In the cold halls where I drift,
wherever I cannot find rest,
I offer You my broken treble clef

still fighting back the adversary.

From within my straitjacket,
with no hands free
to lift in worship,
still—
a hallelujah.

The word is calling between the breaking of my sobs.

It is well,
though I am not.

But I can give You
my shaved head
and this hallelujah.
