This Isn't How It Is
When I miss you so much, this is the part I wish to wipe away.
I want to make you proud
but you have your own kid who'll do that
she gets great grades that truly astound
an honor student, something i'm horrible at
I want to love you
but you have another girl for that
there's nothing I could do
to change that fact
I want to be with you right now
but there's people and places you'd rather be
I hope I'm not being too loud
since none of this should depress me
How we are is super weird
but I've loved it all the same
for a while there wasn't any fear
now there's only blame
