This is longing, a hollow space,

Where echoes whisper of your face.

A phantom touch, a memory's sting,

The silent ache, that time won't bring.

A barren branch, against the moon,

A whispered name, a fading tune.

The empty chair, where you would sit,

A missing piece, that doesn't fit.

The world moves on, in vibrant hues,

But my heart stays, with absent views.

A constant yearning, deep inside,

Where only your presence can reside.

This is longing, a heavy weight,

A love unreturned, sealed by fate.
