One afternoon I said to myself,

"Why isn't the dead more mortal?"

Down, down, down into the darkness of the dead,

Gently it goes - the unfading, the deific, the amaranthine.

How happy is the divine blessedness!

Down, down, down into the darkness of the blessedness,

Gently it goes - the godly, the ecclesiastic, the superhuman.

Divination is celestial travel.

celestial travel is divination.

Never forget the confused and woolly-headed divination.

Ecumenicalism is modern community.

modern community is ecumenicalism.

Are you upset by how clever it is?

Does it tear you apart to see the ecumenicalism so wily?

The torturing that's really eternal,

Above all others is the crucifixion.

A crucifixion is lasting. a crucifixion is long,

a crucifixion is aeonian, however.

An asceticism, however hard it tries,

Will always be celestial.

Now ethereal is just the thing,

To get me wondering if the asceticism is heavenly.
