The moon keeps its secrets well.

It watches us as we shine under borrowed light.

Holding our wishes like quiet confessions.

I’ve asked it questions the stars were too honest to answer—

about love that faded like smoke.

about time that quietly folded in on itself.

It never speaks.

But sometimes I swear it listens.

and that’s enough.

Because maybe not every ache.

Needs a name.

Not every loss is worth it.

Needs to be seen.

Some nights,

Just being seen is just being seen.

It is the closest thing.

to feeling whole.
