They're Gone

verse 1

By Forest GreenPublished 2 months ago • 1 min read

Street lights flicker, I count the empty chairs

Still feel the weight like the ghosts in the air

Used to roll deep, now the crew’s in the wind

Left me with scars and a bottle of sin

Mama said pray, but the devil got louder

Turned my whole circle into ghosts and powder

I’m talkin’ real pain, not the kind in the booth

This the type that make grown men bite on the truth

They ain’t comin’ back, that’s the cold hard fact

Every name on the wall got a story attached

I light one up, let the smoke carry names

Watch it curl in the dark like forgotten flames

Used to dream bigger than the block could hold

Now the block just echoes what the past stole

I’m still standin’, but the silence is loud

Every win feel empty when the team ain’t around
