They say that death is part of life
When one becomes too weak and frail
Or like a once vibrant flame
Grows dim and suddenly fails
They say that death is a new beginning
A door into another space
Or perhaps a stairway that leads to heaven
Where you find God's sweet grace
They say that death is peaceful
Finally, time to rest weary bones
No more anger, pain or sorrow
Time for gentle sleep and home
They say that death is and I don't care
My endless tears they fall
They didn't say that for you, my friend
That death would come at all
