There will come soft rains
As the data is stripped from our brains
Mixed and strained
Pulped and pulverized
They stole everything from us
Nothing left
But our most precious resource
The world between our ears and eyes
Mechanical elves
Golden calves
Aping glories of a past that never existed
They call them terrorists
All those that resist it
Terminators flocking to every city and town
As the clock winds down, down, down
A gasp will be our final sound
As we sip from the final river
We quiver and shake
Death consumes us in the wake of our final mistake
We believed in making our future great again
But all we got was waste
As we drown in soft rain
