There’s More to Me than Visible Light

with wavelengths you can see

I am not a blank and empty page

waiting for some ink to make me whole

complete and written

I am all the light your eyes can see

and more

your retinal contractions

defining limitations

seeing me

as blank

and empty

but

I am full

of every color that can be

look deeper into me

I soar the wavelengths to the sun

and spiral down prismatic shafts

glide the spectrum

bend the light

watch the colors run

there is no vacuum in my space

no hollow intervals to fill

all the colors are in me

and I can be

anything

because I am

everything

interstitial shades

of all the waves

all possibilities

don't write me off
