i want to write it all down

just in case i forget

cause i'm changing somehow

what was straight is now bent

the me i used to be

has somehow gotten lost

the new me you see

is left to carry her cross

sifting through the confusion

and demented illusions

of when i had control

but fear has taken ahold

so, if there comes a day

that i seem too far away

and you're caring for me

and long for who i used to be

gently push back the skin

i'm still here, hiding within

this prison cell made of bones

this shell i've always called home

and maybe on a good day

i will look back and say

i've missed you since i've been gone

and it's okay to move on

know i'm always holding you close

in these memories that i love the most

holding you in my arms

w h e r e

we.......
