There are times when I’m grey, muted,
in interactions, in feelings, in cares,
passing through life like air.
There are times when I’m yellow, cheerful,
known to be smiling, known to be kind
helping others at any time.
At least until they get close and find...
There are times when I’m blue, depressed,
maybe stressed, maybe discouraged,
Mixing the color until it’s switched
to purple, so emotional,
no longer down, but long undersea,
drowning in currents of fantasy.
Or green, relaxed,
newfound mental wellbeing,
lying in the grass among flowers, new spring,
under bright skies, but with clouds gathering.
Will it be yellow, or will it be grey,
determining the next mood today?
