Then Came The Summer Rain

What a big wet mess

Then Came The Summer Rain

The sky hung low in quiet dread

cold streets where broken footsteps bled

walls wore stains of days gone wrong

and nights dragged out too long, too long

Shadows thick with things unsaid

hearts half-living, hearts half-dead

windows shut against the pain

then came the rain

It fell like sorrow from the skies

no comfort, no disguise

just endless tears in falling streams

that washed away our dreams

Well, it ruined our bloody holiday 😝😜
