The scars of war, a lifetime's weight

The memories of loss, a heavy fate

For those who fought, for those who bled

Their sacrifice, a debt unpaid

Their cries for peace, a distant hope

As armies clash, a never-ending scope

For in the end, what is the cost of hate?

What is the price of war, a weight so great?
