The World Lost

Here I stand,
By my hearts demand,
In a tarnished land,
And the broken sand,

Nothing left in sight,
Without the hearts delight,
I give up my fight,
Now a beaten knight,

Once I'd held you,
With a love deep and true,
Now I've lost you,
And the world that I knew,

Peace has left our minds,
Made our hearts unkind,
Without a love that binds,
There is nothing left to find,

Look around us my friend,
There is nothing left to defend,
This home is too lost to mend,
Can you not see this is the end?
