The Woman in the Moonlight

Mystical and haunting

The Woman in the Moonlight

She walked beneath the silver moon where shadows kissed the ground,
A woman lost in memories where forgotten dreams were found.
The night became her sanctuary, the stars became her guide,
For all the things she couldn’t say were locked away inside.

The old oak trees would whisper when the midnight winds would call,
They knew about her broken heart, they knew about her fall.
She carried love like a secret, like a flame she couldn’t hide,
A thousand silent wishes buried deep inside.

They said she was a mystery, a ghost from days gone by,
A soul that searched the heavens every evening in the sky.
But nobody knew the reason she returned there every night…
She was searching for the person who once gave her life its light.

The years had taken everything, the seasons came and went,
But some loves leave a mark behind that cannot be erased or bent.
And when the moon shines brightest and the world is sleeping still,
Her heart is climbing mountains that time could never kill.

For some souls are connected beyond the boundaries of time,
Written in forgotten pages of a never-ending rhyme.
And if you see her walking where the silver shadows fall…
Know she is looking for the one who meant everything to all.
