Dived into deep oceans together, climbed steep mountains
Into the stormy seas we sailed
So intense the triumphs and the pains
Taking this glorious tour

Artic to Antarctica,
Cairo to Capetown.
Together I wished for forever. He made it feel like an eternal flame.
In the moment I didn't even realise that the reason he took me along,
Only reason he took me,
Not to be alone in it, was to have his heart fade away, from the woman he loved.

No one deserves to be used by another person to get over or move on from their past lover. It's just so painful. Loved your poem!
Ugh. This felt like the rebound relationship, doomed from the start but only one side knows. I felt all of it, fantastic work :)
