The Winds of Fall

Leaves fall all around me as I stroll down the sidewalk, like flakes of multi-colored snow floating to the ground.

The warm autumn breeze kicks the leaves up, causing them to swirl into unique patterns.

Fall is my favorite time of year.

It makes me feel cozy, like being wrapped in a fuzzy blanket while sitting by a fireplace.

And the air smells so fresh and sweet, blowing my hair into my face.

The sun rains down on me, my cream sweater absorbs the warmth of the rays, spreading it throughout my arms and torso.

I sip my hot chai latte, the heat and spice warming my throat, while the sweet causes me to grin.

I hear a bell ring, high-pitched squeals right after as I pass by a small brick school.

I watch the children run off of the playground and to their teachers.

I can't wait to join their ranks and help shape the minds of kids, my textbooks heavy in my backpack.

The winds blow again, and I raise my arms, spinning around in the leaves as I take advantage of the beautiful day.
