The wind speaks in poetry

I feel at home among the trees

where the sunsets are golden

and the stars are like crystals.

The wind speaks in poetry

and the water roars like a lioness.

I feel most understood among the company of wildflowers

and muddy trails leading to nowhere...

To be lost in that place is a special circumstance.

Because, those trees, they speak to the wind.

I’ve heard it in the feeling I get in my chest

watching the branches sway...

I could lie there forever and be fully content,

of course, until the mosquitos bite...
