The Weight of Poverty:

A Glimpse into the Struggle for Survival and the Resilience of the Human Spirit.

The life of poverty is a heavy weight to bear

A constant struggle just to breathe the air

With empty pockets and a hungry stomach too

It's hard to see any light shining through

Each day is a battle just to survive

With no end in sight, it's hard to thrive

The world seems cold and unfeeling

And the weight of poverty is unyielding

No fancy clothes or luxury cars

Just the bare necessities, like the stars

Yet the poor have a strength within

A resilience that can never be dimmed

For they know the value of a kind word

And the joy of a small act that's heard

Their spirit may be poor, but their hearts are rich

And they know that life can be a tough pitch

So let us not forget the poor and needy

And let us help to make their lives more steady

For in this world, we all deserve to thrive

And to live a life that's truly alive.
