The Weary Wordsmith

A Sonnet

An AI Generated Image

A mute, condemning judge is the blank page

Mocking pride and confidence, wordlessly

Its stark stare causes every youth to age

It takes without the slightest courtesy

What does it promise, without tongue or voice?

Coveted renown and sweet accolades

The smiles of those who read and then rejoice

An end to absurd, pretentious charades

Check its blankness for a map to follow

You'll find an atlas of aspiration

One rule that will any mad thing allow

So long as it exhales inspiration

Action makes heavy liberty weightless

One word makes the silent judge a witness

Sonnet
