The Way She Loved the Stars

We're All Made of Stardust

Did you ever stop to think

About the way

She loved the stars

"We're all made of stardust."

She said

But you couldn't see

The constellations

In her tears

There were stars in her eyes

Born and died

And reborn again

Why couldn't you see them?

She danced like the moon

Pulling the tides

Of vast oceans

In a rhythm

You could never

Understand

"We're as magical as the universe."

She had said

So long ago

Her voice now a distant memory

A mere echo through time

You can't even remember now

What she looks like

You can't remember

The whorls of galaxies

In her hair

The pink of stardust

That touched her cheeks

When she smiled

Or the sparkle of nebulas

In her eyes

Eyes that reflected

Inky night skies

In darkened rooms

Mirrors

Of you

And her

And me

And them

And all of us

You want to remember

The roar of a million oceans

In her voice

When she said

She loved you

And meant it

But you don't remember

Because you couldn't see

The way she loved the stars

About the Creator

I like to write, if that makes me a writer, then rock on!

I started writing as a child because I ran out of stuff to read. So, I only write stuff that I like. If you like it too, awesome! Enjoy! ^_^
