The Walk

Frosted Verse, reversed

Cocooned inside my body,

frozen for countless years.

I gaze upon the branches tinged with frost,

a deep sigh permeates my lungs.

---

I never thought this would happen,

my heart unwillingly closed up.

There are only a few souls nearby,

to whom I can confide what's happening inside.

---

There are only a few who truly understand,

I felt ashamed, as others betrayed me many times.

It is onerous to trust and open up once more

amidst the ridicule and the blows raining down.

---

I pour the jug full of frosted bites,

they imprint a mark on my fair skin;

a mark that stings with cutting words,

never to be undone by anyone.

---

As I make my way through the muddy and gravelly path,

the very one that nobody dares to tread upon,

I come across wild boars and graceful deer,

their presence revives my weary soul.

---

I gently sip the cool air,

not dwelling on despair, driving away hard feelings.

I brush aside thoughts that the future might not be bright .

There must be a way out, somewhere.

---

As I make my way through the brambles and barbed wire,

I can't help but feel the absence of guests.

The trees seem to mock me with their aged eyes,

yet somehow, I find solace in this place.
