Dad lifted up the bed. Once again, he saw nothing. He must think I'm crazy. I felt like it top. Ricky jumped in my bed. He was to scared to sleep in his own bed.

I told Dad to look one more time for us. He lifted up the bed. And the rat scurried out. Screeching through the quiet house. He tells us to chill. But I just couldn't chill.

We stayed up all night. Shaking and shivering from fear. I didn't even peep it. The sunlight in the window. I was dead set focused. On the ominous closet door.
