There was a little fence in the back of the apartment complex, with a crack. A piece of wood hanging off the middle of it. This is our way out. How we get to the gas station down the street.

We were all small enough to squeeze our way through. Once we were all through, we walk to the store. As we approach the store. I notice a couple arguing, but I brush it off.

I was focused on chips. I got my snacks and checked out at the register. The couple was still arguing. Not feeling good about this.
