The Unusual Suspect
A Laughter-Inducing Tale of Something Rare
In the town where nothing ever changed,
The citizens were always rearranged,
They lived a life that was quite plain,
And nothing ever caused them any pain.
*
But one day, a strange event occurred,
That made the townspeople quite absurd,
For in their midst, there was a sight,
That was rare, and funny, and quite a delight.
*
It was a giraffe, with a bow tie,
Wearing a hat, and a twinkle in its eye,
It walked down the street, with such grace,
And the people couldn't help but smile with its pace.
*
It stopped in front of the general store,
And asked the shopkeeper for something more,
"Do you have a ladder," it said with a grin,
"I need to reach the top shelf, to get my gin."
*
The townspeople laughed, with such glee,
As the giraffe went on, with such energy,
And they realized, in that moment of joy,
That they had been missing out on life, oh so much boy!
*
So from that day on, the town was different,
The citizens found their inner elephant,
They laughed, and danced, and sang with glee,
And the giraffe became a legend, for all to see.
*
And that's the tale, of the unusual suspect,
The creature that brought the town some respect,
It proved that rare things can be quite funny,
And that laughter is the best cure, for our money.
