You are the unseen man, as am I.
Sit beside me brother, here in the dark,
He is forever in motion,
Two steps ahead of hope,
Fear found me writhing in the dirt,
Desperately clinging even as my fingernails snapped,
But I see you, unseen man.
I have crossed that wasteland,
While your tired heart,
Fed blood to your flexing muscle,
And left marks in the dirt,
Where I fell to my knees,
For it is here in the stillness,
While it pried my fingers from the ledge.
And cast me into the darkness.
That I finally know.
The dogged breath of despair,
Weighs heavily on the unseen man.
And blood dripped from my hands.
Where hope will find us.
