The Unheard Symphony

unheard

By Praise OyePublished 2 years ago • 3 min read

Beneath the din of bustling streets,

In whispered winds where silence meets,

There lives a world, unseen, unknown,

A symphony played for ears alone.

The unheard hum, the hidden tune,

The gentle sigh of the waning moon.

In shadows cast by brighter days,

Where voices falter, lost in haze,

A melody lingers, soft, discreet,

A song unsung, a heart’s heartbeat.

For not all words find willing ears,

And not all cries birth soothing cheers.

The unheard stories of ancient trees,

Rooted deep in memories.

They creak and groan, their wisdom vast,

Guardians of a silent past.

Each ring inside their towering frame

Tells of fire, flood, and human blame.

Yet who pauses to hear their plea,

In the whispering groves of eternity?

The grasses sway in murmured prayer,

Their secrets woven into air.

Blades that bend beneath the weight

Of steps that rush, that hesitate.

But their soft voices rise at night,

In the stillness, under starlit light.

The unheard battles rage within,

A tempest clothed in quiet skin.

The smiles we wear, the masks we mold,

Conceal the tales left untold.

For who can hear the silent screams,

The fractured hopes, the broken dreams?

A war inside, a private fight,

Invisible in the harsh daylight.

The unheard voices of the lost,

Paying life’s unbearable cost.

The homeless wander through the haze,

Their pleas dissolved in fleeting gaze.

Their stories echo in the void,

Dreams built, then cruelly destroyed.

The worker bent beneath the load,

Toiling down an endless road.

Their hands create, their spirits bleed,

Yet silence greets their unvoiced need.

Unheard applause for tasks they bear,

Unseen lives stitched with despair.

The unheard laughter of a child,

Lost in moments fleeting, wild.

A spark that fades before it’s caught,

A joy too pure for mindful thought.

Their wonder hums a fleeting chord,

A gift the jaded world ignored.

The unheard words between the lines,

In hesitant looks, in subtle signs.

A love unspoken, a kindness masked,

A truth unshared, a question unasked.

Each silence holds a world of weight,

A story paused, left to its fate.

The unheard whispers of the land,

The mountains tall, the oceans grand.

The earth laments in muted tones,

Her wounds ignored, her broken bones.

The ice that melts, the forests razed,

Her beauty lost in the smoggy haze.

Yet she persists, her quiet plea,

A love song to humanity.

The animals speak in languages rare,

Their unheard cries fill the thinning air.

A bird’s lament, a wolf’s last call,

Echoes faint in the forest’s hall.

They sing of balance, once pristine,

Now shattered by a world machine.

The unheard dreams of those who dare,

To climb, to leap, to take the air.

Their hopes are whispers in the wind,

The seeds of futures yet to begin.

But fear can still their budding flight,

Dimming stars before they light.

The unheard prayers of the oppressed,

Their faith a flame that’s hard-pressed.

They kneel in shadows, hands held tight,

Seeking justice in the endless night.

Yet echoes fail to breach the walls,

Built by power’s deafening calls.

To hear the unheard is a sacred art,

A journey deep into the heart.

It asks of us to pause and feel,

To mend the wounds the silent conceal.

For in their depths, a treasure lies,

A truth unseen by rushing eyes.

Listen closely to the world unknown,

The voices small, the seeds unsown.

In every silence, a song awaits,

A voice to break the stubborn gates.

And in hearing, we may find the key,

To weave a brighter tapeshand

The unheard carries, strong and wide,

The dreams of those who’ve yet to stride.

Their steps, though faint, can shape the earth,

A quiet force of untold worth.

For even whispers can shift the sands,

And build anew with steady hands.

So let us listen, near and far,

To the unheard songs of who we are.

In every silence, a world takes flight,

A symphony waiting for its light.

For the unheard are not truly gone,

Their echoes live, their truths live on.
