The Tree Of Eternal Truth
Photo by Fabrice Villard on Unsplash

It lay, untouched a seed of loneliness in my heart

Eager to blossem and sprout

With the warmth of my body

And the tears from my eyes

It grew

It grew and grew

Flourishing my mind with its roots

We'll fight for friendship to the grave then, watch it all rain

Erase the past like there was no future

I wish that we could, continue with our flaws instead of inhaling this poison that is you

I wish upon the sun-painted tulips that it holds

The glow of eternal beauty that blossomed through the pain of its beginning

Every second, heading just a little closer to midnight and its shadows

The shadows that would once consume it whole, did not bother it anymore

For it had joined the dark not being able to heal but more so be torn

Torn into oblivion

then thrown into the fiery pits

just to be used as someone else's light

someone else's warmth

cold.
