Power is a soulless thing

Empty of golden virtue

Except to the souls that bring

Respect and a certitude

Of helping the trampled

Souls crawling a beaten path

Avoiding the one less travelled

And in this endless aftermath

Precious few remain cautious

Watchful, ever on their guard

Waiting for that final "no holds barred"

Nameless, nauseous

Ultimate battle of human resolve

Respectful of their journey

Knowing a blindness for the trampled

Will dissolve

The bodies strewn throughout it

They remember the trampled

Those that have, in resolve, writ

That each shapeless soul

Paves the path we tread and it

Lines all power with gold

surreal poetry

I'd like to share a collection of my poetry that I've written and accumulated throughout the years that may date all the way back to my days in grade school. I hope you enjoy your time spent perusing and pondering my mental meanderings.
