The Ringmaster Shouts.
“COME ONE!”
“COME ALL!”
“SEE THE DISPOSABLE MAN!”

A wasted life
No career, Real potential never to now, be awoken.
Despite doing the best that he can.
Nobody needs the disposable young man.

The Freak Show Master Touts.
“COME ALL!”
“COME ONE!”
“LAUGH AT THE DISPOSABLE MAN!”

As a fiscal equation, a valueless life.
No assets, savings or home, just social benefits claims taken
He struggles and cries “Here I am”
Nobody hears the disposable man.

The Social Media Market Vendor Posts Out
“COME ONE!”
“COME ALL!”
“POINT AT THE DISPOSABLE MAN!”

A meaningless life
From eventual entropy, a drifted family forsaken
A worthless life zooms by. The faster he ran.
Nobody sees the disposable ageing man.

The Newspapers, TV and Mass media pass the story pitch out.
“COME ALL!”
“COME ONE!”
“GIGGLE AT THE DISPOSABLE MAN!”
.
Fat, faded, useless drain on the social care system.
No wife, kids are grown, confidence destroyed not just shaken.
Love once real, faded now to a mere sham.
Nobody wants the disposable old man.

The rest of you yawn and stop giving two shits about.
“BEEN THERE!”
“DONE THAT!”
“WE ARE ALL TIRED AND ARE BORED WITH THAT THINGY TYPE MAN!”

A tiny insignificant blot of a life.
Another faded nothingness to nothingness, No historic event in the making.
As the decades pass by, People will forget to give a dam.
Nobody will mourn that disposable corpse remains of a man.

If MC Escher created a parkrun, it might look a bit like Jubilee. Based in a compact – but surprisingly lovely – park in the small County Durham town of Spennymoor, it twists and turns its way up repeated hills. Although basic physics says it must come down again, somehow this route never feels like it gives runners a proper descent.
