“Hmm. That’s not much advance notice.”
“I’m serious. What would you do?”
“I don’t know. Max out my credit cards, buy an EV. Throw a banquet.”
“That’s it?”
“One with every possible cuisine and drink. ‘Casablanca’ set on loop."
“Lame.”
“Yeah? So what might you do, instead?”
“I’d pile up all my books, and photos, and souvenirs.”
“Then, what?”
“For the process, not the result.”
“Hmm. Not so different.”
“Stare at them at the very end.”
“Depressing. Morbid.”
“Yeah? You've read the news?”
“Have you seen the forecast?”
