The Tiniest Coffin

A poem

A toddler fell into

the borewell

the inability of technology dies.

We prayed for you

We cried for you then learned

God has no ears.

You are not the first kid

we lost in a borewell,

Now,

our prayers are you should be the last.

A dream is shattered

A butterfly lost its blue sky

A little fish lost its green ocean

A pup lost its mother world

as an adult, we feel shame on our irresponsibility.

Everything is dark he cries

before the tears rolled out

he left this world.

The heaviest thing in

the world is

the tiniest coffin of a toddler.
