Soda Bread Snack
The Leprechauns who visited me asked about raisins of gold.
They seemed like a delicacy, better than red.
The time the Leprechauns were disappointed in gold.
They grabbed the ones I had, a whole load.
They baked them into their soda bread, but the taste was the same as old.
The time the Leprechauns were disappointed in gold.
"The gold ones are not better," they said.
Disappointment that they were not better like what was told.
The time the Leprechauns were disappointed in gold.
They wanted a change of taste to the bread.
I suggested adding coke to make the bread fluffy and bold.
The time the Leprechauns were disappointed in gold.
They tried the idea that ended their dread.
They declared it was better than the old.
The time the Leprechauns were disappointed in gold.
It is now double soda bread instead!
In their memory I made this snack in my own abode.
My favorite taste and reminder of the time the Leprechauns were disappointed in gold.
