1) (Left) The living ---------------------2) (Right) The dead
------------------ 3) (Together) The Third Voice -----------------
I survived ---------------------------- because you didn’t
the sea kept dragging --------------- your hands beneath mine
sirens screamed through ------------ the fractured windshield
I tasted gasoline --------------------- inside your last prayer
your blood kept blooming ---------- across my trembling mouth
the ambulance lights flickered ---- like judgment on wet asphalt
you told me to run ------------------ before the fire reached us
I still hear glass breaking ---------- whenever silence gets too loud
the mirror refuses ------------------ to show only one ghost
every birthday after ---------------- felt stolen from your lungs
I survived ---------------------------- because you didn’t
