Hearing every cricket
seeing all the trees
makes your heart freeze
Sitting in a clearing
letting it do all the hearing
weeping by the willow
not having a pillow
the bark already carved
so late ive starved
For a tree to be free
for i have no tree with me
I got caught under them all
and I fell through the fall
resting in their shade
Wondering what yesterday made
for today and tomorrow
