The Tears Of Obesity

Every day a fight, every breath a hope that fades

Whispers of a Heavy Heart

Within these four walls, where I hide and cry

My spirit feels heavy, as dreams slowly die.

Yearning for a world that feels too far to reach,

Obesity, my captor, my freedom out of reach

I smile, but inside, my soul's destroyed,

Obesity stole my pride, I feel so paranoid.

Trapped in this body, where hope is unkind,

Each moment a struggle, a battle of my mind.

I smile, but tears roll, a silent cascade,

The gap between life and happiness laid.

With thoughts uninvited, they circle my mind,

Longing for freedom, for obesity is so unkind .

deep in my heart, a yearning still burns bright,

A hope of courage that defies my wellness fight.

In the depths of my soul, I learn to embrace,

The beauty of me, in this limited space.

So let love cascade in all of it’s forms,

In every heart, a story that beautifully warms.

Though shadows may linger, and challenges rise,

I’ll take a step forward, trying to reach the skies.

God, give me strength to smile and live again,

Take away this obesity and with it all of the pain.
