Sky blue by day, sky black by night;
two mythical beings stopped their fight,
righting their wrongs, then making wrongs right.
Fairies of darkness, goblins of light;
all of them know what happened that night,
but it wasn’t peaceful, not at all, not quite.

Long ago, the sun would gleam,
not yet orange but a white beam.
Year after year, it retained this theme,
lasting until the final battle ended the scheme.

In the time of eternal light,
goblins roamed before the fall of “night”
and the fairies complained of the days so bright,
before they, too, roamed in the light.
And so, hell on Earth was created with delight,
the fairies of darkness ignoring the goblins’ plight.

For thousands of years, the fight was extreme,
but as most stories go, there’s a chance to redeem.
Everything was falling apart at the seam,
but in the end, they all shared the same dream.

Magic was used to separate day and night,
darkness for the fairies so the goblins can bathe in light.
The white became orange surrounded by blue, making things right,
and thus began the first cycle of a bright day and a dark night.
No more hate, no more fights, so one began to write,
telling of the war’s end where they all unite.
