The Sweet Pull.
…..A hypnosis poem.🫣

It starts with a whisper behind the tongue,
A flicker of thought where hunger’s begun.
Not hunger _ no _ but a glint, a tease,
A curl of sugar carried on breeze.
*
It echoes and echoes.
Pulls you in, then goes away.
Makes you regret yesterday.
*
It calls in shadows, soft and low,
A velvet voice that starts to grow.
“Just one taste,” it hums through bone,
And suddenly… you’re not alone.
*
The mouth remembers, oh it knows,
The syruped highs, the candied throes.
Molten caramel, a frosted dream,
That powdered sugar, and its sticky feast
that makes you go “wheee.”
*
It tightens gently in your chest,
A craving dressed in Sunday best.
It doesn’t shout. It doesn’t scream.
It dances softly in your dream.
Pulling you in.
*
You see it there, that cookie bite.
A choir in your head, saying just one bite,
Of the chocolate square, the creamy white.
Your hands move quicker than your thought.
Your breath is shallow, and suddenly your will is caught.
*
The first taste hits, electric fire,
The moment’s warm, escalating peak in the choir,
Singing hallelujah.
Dopamine’s rushed, a hush, then a dizzy spin,
A fleeting joy beneath the skin.
*
But ah, the fall, the fog, the slip,
The sugar ghost with sugared grip.
It’s not just taste, it’s tethered deep,
Sweet lullaby that steals your sleep.
*
Your mind is murky, your spirit’s slow,
Still chasing that initial glow.
And somewhere, somewhere soft inside,
A quiet voice begins to chide.
*
What is this hunger you obey?
What wound does sugar wash away?
What ache do sprinkles try to mend?
What do you reach for in the end?
*
Is it comfort? Is it ease?
A borrowed joy, for a moment’s peace?
A sweet disguise, a softened scream,
A substitute for the tough feels?
*
So close your eyes, breathe in the truth,
The craving’s veil is light, uncouth.
You are not hollow, not a cave,
You don’t need sugar just to behave.
*
You are rhythm. You are calm.
Your breath is honey. Your heart is balm.
You don’t need sugar to feel good inside.
Let cravings rise. Let cravings pass.
They’re clouds, not chains, and they do not last.
*
You choose what feeds your soul today.
Not every sweet must have its way.
There’s peace beyond the candied spin.
There’s wholeness rising from within.
*
When next it whispers, that sweet pull.
You’ll feel it rise, but you’ll stay cool.
You’ll smile, exhale, and play no fool.
*
Push aside, and walk away,
Let sugar lose its say.
And feel more free with every day.
