The Swan

A swan rests upon the still lake,

her beauty a quiet shimmer,

each feather a soft whisper of light.

Sunlight embraces her,

the warmth wraps around her,

and she feels both proud and alone,

knowing she is a wonder.

Around her, laughter fills the air,

children chase the sun,

their joy excitedly on show for all to see,

while parents capture the moment,

their hearts blooming in happiness.

She dips her neck into cool waters,

refreshing drops glisten like tiny sparkles,

and in this moment, the world fades.

But then, she sees them,

a gathering of swans, in the distance

gliding toward her, each one like her beautiful

their movements like a dance,

Graceful and enchanting,

drawing closer to her like a dream.

They all swim together,

a symphony of white beautiful birds,

swirling, twirling, gliding at slow speed

She feels their nearing presence,

warm and inviting,

a gentle pull towards belonging,

towards unity,

a quiet understanding among them.

As the sun sets,

the sky deepens in colors,

soft pinks and gentle golds,

and she knows—

she is not alone,

but part of something vast,

something beautiful.

With every stroke of her wings,

she joins the ballet,

the ripples singing a sweet song,

reminding her that beauty thrives

in the hearts of many,

together, as one.

In the stillness of the nearing night,

the swan glides on,

surrounded by the gentle grace

of those who share her world,

her heart warm and free.
