The sun is out today!

In my mind, that is. The sun is shining in my brain and I’m doing okay.

It’s been 7 whole years. 7 years of darkness. My mind has been dark and lonely, but now the sun is shining here.

I am myself. I am dancing to no music; I’m cleaning; I’m on time; I’m not feeling lost in overwhelm.

The sun is out today; In my mind and in my heart. I woke up feeling happy, words I never thought I’d say.

I am hopeful. Please, don’t be a phase. Am I just in a mani state? Will tomorrow bring me back to fragile?

For 7 whole years, I’ve lived without the sun. My mind replaced the sun and hope with darkness and fears.

But today, I am at peace. My heart is content. My brain is quiet; My body is still; I can feel the breeze.

Today is a good day.

Tomorrow might be bad. But I’m going to savor the beautiful sunshine that is out today 🌞
