the sun burns (1)

The sun burns. An undeniable truth, ancient and unforgiving. It is both life and death, warmth and desolation. In the vast expanse of the desert, where every grain of sand holds the memory of another searing day, the sun reigns supreme.

For Nadia, it was a tyrant she could not escape. She trudged through the dunes, her shadow a fleeting companion, shrinking and fading as the sun climbed higher. Her water flask hung light at her side, a reminder of her dwindling resources.

Each step was an argument with her body, her muscles screaming, her skin taut and blistered from the relentless exposure. Still, she moved forward. There was no other choice.
