Who am I now?

Warm summer air like velvet on my skin, long months of darkness finally gone

awakens once more the woman within, can soul and body now be one?

Four walls for months surrounded me; friends, family stayed distant but safe

The summer air will set us free, meeting them no longer brave

alas, the darkness has not left my brain; both body and mind feel out of place

my leaving home and bed, a struggle remain; I have lost myself in the space

before the new normal, unexplained, what was lost, what was gained?
